Goetz Brothers Sporting Goods has been a family owned and operated business for over 70 years. Founded as a small card and gift store in downtown Redwood City, California in 1937 Goetz Brothers grew to become a department store of sorts furnishing the area with TVs, typewriters, hobbies, pianos as well as sporting goods. Over the years the sporting goods department grew becoming the biggest department in the store. The music department was the last non sports related department until it was dropped in the late 1990s leaving Goetz Brothers as a team sports store specializing in baseball/softball, with football, soccer, lacrosse, basketball, rugby, volleyball, and just about everything else you could need for team sports. With over seventy years in the business we are confident that we can serve all your needs from equipment to shoes to uniforms. The Palo Alto Oaks honor Tony Makjavich for his love and dedication to the Oaks. Without Tony, the Oaks would have surely died long ago like all the other semi pro teams on the peninsula.
The original Old Pro on El Camino in Palo Alto opened its doors in 1964 and was the Bay Area’s first “Sports Bar”. A unique looking building that resembled a Quonset Hut was more than a sports bar. “The Pro” originally offered a basic menu of burgers, fries, sandwiches and of course, cold beer.
The “New Old Pro” has re-opened its doors on Ramona Avenue in the heart of downtown Palo Alto after undergoing a major remodel in 2006. Please visit us at: www.oldpropa.com

Since its opening in 1974, beef & martinis have never gone out of style at this Palo Alto institution. The atmosphere is very clubby with fireplaces, dark wood, sports memorabilia & plush leather booths tucked into the many nooks throughout the dining room. Famous for their slow-roasted prime rib, they also offer fresh seafood, lobster tail & of course their specially aged prime graded steaks. The menu is supported by extensive award-winning wine list making this steakhouse one of the best on the Peninsula. Visit us at www.sundancethesteakhouse.com for more information.
